Re-opening the churches for Private Prayer

From the beginning of this week it is now legal that churches can be opened for private prayer, but still not yet for public services and gatherings. Before any church building is opened for prayer certain requirements must be met to ensure ‘distancing’ is enabled and enforced. We have considered the feasibility of opening our churches and for the moment we are unable to meet the requirements. This is due to the fact that our churches are very small with single entrance access. Also we would find it difficult to have people available to be stewards throughout opening times. So for the moment I have taken the decision to keep the churches closed. In the meantime we are making preparations so that when the churches are allowed to be opened for public services we will be able to provide public Masses according to our usual timetable. I thank you for your patience and understanding.

 Practice Zoom Session

If you’ve still to get the hang of Zoom, then join us on Wednesday at 5 pm to have a play with it.  I’ll open up the Zoom space so that you can take your time, chat with others who are maybe struggling, or some who actually know what they’re doing, and experiment with different stuff you can do. I’m hopeless with iPads, but somebody kind who can drive one will be there.

I’ve put the link to it in the calendar.

If you try and can’t get in, then send me an email and I’ll give you my phone number (I’m not going to publish it on here) so you can call me and we’ll get you in.  Please note: if there’s nothing scheduled in the calendar, then the likelihood is that the Zoom meeting space won’t be open, and you’ll not be able to get in.

God bless, stay home, stay well.
