Masses

ANNUNTIO VOBIS GAUDIUM MAGNUM,,,

….. which roughly translates as: I bring you news of great joy!

We have received permission to open our churches for private prayer and for public celebrations. This of course is subject to our compliance with requirements and recommendations with respect to safety precautions. The manner in which we enter and leave the church, as well as how we conduct the celebration of Mass will be different from our usual practice. But the most important development is that we will be gathering for Mass from this weekend (11/12 July). Gaudium Magnum! Great Joy!

Saturday 11 July: 6pm Our Lady’s, Caton.

All those attending will submit their names and telephone numbers on entry so that we will be able to ‘track’ attendees in the unlikely event that it becomes necessary. Face masks are compulsory. Numbers are restricted; although we are not expecting that you will not be able to enter the church, please be prepared for the eventuality that you may be standing outside. Other necessary instructions will be given before and after Mass.

Sunday 12 July: 9am St Joseph’s, Kirkby Lonsdale.

Sunday 12 July: 11am St Mary’s, Hornby.

Mass will be celebrated in the garden in the open air. People will be expected to observe the usual rules for ‘distancing’. All those attending will submit their names and telephone numbers so that we will be able to ‘track’ attendees in the unlikely event that it becomes necessary. Other necessary instructions will be given before and after Mass.

Check the calendar for daily Mass times and venues, as well as which Masses will still be available to be accessed through Zoom.
