There are times when we feel overwhelmed by the world, by responsibilities, even by our efforts to grow in our significant relationships.  We can watch the news, listen to commentaries and the see the things we hold dear being mocked.  We see images of turmoil in the world, and as we witness all this, we feel unsettled, unable to change things.  “Come to me,” the Lord says, “for I am meek and humble of heart.”  He is saying to us; entrust yourself to me. I will care for you and for your family,  I am your God and I walk with you.  All relationships, including our relationship with God demand both trust and effort.  In our prayer we come before Him and say, “I can’t seem to get along with anyone, beginning with myself, and including You!”  And Jesus says, “I am with you, I’ll show you how to love.  Just let me hold you, and care for you.  I will help you.  Come to me for I am meek and humble of heart.” The One who carries us is stronger than all our fears, stronger than all our struggles, strong enough to carry us all; His strength is Love, and His love comforts, heals and renews us.  Let us open our hearts to Him.

… For they shall see our God!
