We have to make continual choices in our lives and in those choices our conscience comes into its own. Conscience is our sanctuary, it is the place where we are alone and open with God, the place where His voice echoes in us.  Conscience is a judgement that let’s us see the quality of our actions.  Faced with a moral choice, our conscience let’s us make either a right judgement in line with reason and God’s Law or, it can let us make a bad judgement. The only way to keep our conscience healthy is by seeking the guidance given to us in the Scriptures and by our regular prayerful response to God’s Word.  We are fooling ourselves if we think that we will not have to answer in this life and the next for choices we know are not the best.  If we want to enjoy the joy of the Jesus’ resurrection, if we want the eternal life of Easter, then we first must join Him in accepting suffering for good on the Cross.

…The Golden Rule:  “Do to others as you would have them do to you!”
