Monsignor Hypher

This is the last weekend that Mgr Hypher is with us. We extend our warm thanks to him for looking after our Parishes. We have appreciated his care and concern and his informative sermons have been of great interest to us all. He has helped to keep us all together in the absence of Fr Luiz and we are grateful for this.

Rededication of England as the Dowry of Mary

In preparation for the Rededication of England on the 29th March 2020, an event has been organised to take place from Thursday 6th – Saturday 8th February at St Peter’s Cathedral, Lancaster.

  6:00 pm Angelus; talk on England’s Dowry of Mary (Mgr Armitage)
  7:00 pm Holy Mass (Celebrant: Bp Paul Swarbrick)

Friday 9:45 am Rosary and sung Litany (Cathedral opens at 8:30 am)
  10:30 am Cathedral open for private visits or school groups
  Noon Angelus; Holy Mass (at 12:15 pm) followed by Euchaistic Adoration
  6:00 pm Angelus followed by time for private visits and prayer
  7:00 pm Holy Mass (opportunity for Sacrament of the Sick)
  8:45 pm Cathedral closed

‘A closer look at the Sunday readings for each week in Lent’.   –   Five weekly sessions to be held in Hornby at 37 Main Street commencing on Monday 2nd March at 3.30 pm or at Station House, Arkholme, on Wednesday 4th March at 7.30 pm.

Next Sunday, 9th February

Is Racial Justice Sunday. The theme is “You are at the heart of the Church” and will celebrate the contribution the Travelling Communities make to the Church in England and Wales. Leaflets are available at the back of Church.
